DISTRICT 2 and WENA Elections – NOV. 13, 2019

posted in: Agendas, Meetings | 0

6:30 – 8:00 PM
Reiche School
2nd Floor via Clark Street entrance

Mayor Strimling, Councilor Spencer Thibodeau, City Manager Jon Jennings, and City staff will be available to discuss neighborhood issues and answer questions from the public. These meetings are your chance to meet your District Councilor, the Mayor, and representatives from the various departments within the city.

The District 2 Meeting will replace the WENA Meeting previously scheduled for this date. However, we will still hold the WENA elections.

We will distribute ballots before the meeting and collect them at the end of the meeting, and let everyone know the results by Thursday the 14th. All members who have paid dues this year by November 13 will be eligible to vote.  You can pay dues online using PayPal at  http://www.wenamaine.org/get-involved/   ($6 for individuals, $16 per household, and $26 for business affiliates)
or at the meeting.

The WENA Board currently has nine members. Two (Ian Jacob and Bryan Van Dussen) are at the end of their terms and will run for reelection. We have room on the board for two more members.  This is a great way to get to know more about your neighbors, the West End, and Portland.  If you are interested in joining the board or have questions, please send a message to  hello@wenamaine.org   by Tuesday, November 12.
